GETTING STARTED
WELCOME.
Thank you for using EASY BUDGET. You will find this software
very easy to use. However, we are providing this user manual to
assist you in using the program. Please call or write
us with your comments or suggestions.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS.
EASY BUDGET can run on all 100% IBM compatible, including the IBM
PC, XT, and AT models. It requires DOS versions 2.1 or higher.
Your "CONFIG.SYS" file should allow at least 20 files to be open
(see your DOS manual).
INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE.
EASY BUDGET can run on a floppy disk system, but we recommend that
you install it on your hard drive. To install the software enter
the program disk into the "A" drive and type install, then press
the enter key. At this time, a new sub-directory called "BUDGET"
will be created and all files needed to run the software will be
copied into the new sub-directory. Then enter "GO" to start the
program.
PROGRAM SET-UP.
Before you can start building budget records with Easy Budget, you
must first go to the Update Menu and choose Option 2 for entering
your Income and Expense Titles. Up to 6 incomes and 33 expenses can
be used. The system screens and reports will reflect information
only for the titles that are not left blank. You can update these
titles at anytime.

may be an alternative to deleting the records. The
record number will be automatically assigned by Easy
Budget. This is done to eliminate having the same
record number for two different records. When
